3D Imaging Dentistry: CEREC and Cone Beam Technology

3D imaging technology has made major advances in the past few years to the point where they are now an irreplaceable part of dental care. At Scottsdale Dental Excellence, your North Scottsdale Dentist, we take great pride in being able to offer our patients with the latest in 3D imaging technology. An example of our commitment to patient care is the the new Galileos Comfort Plus which combines CEREC and Galileos Cone Beam technology. The combination of these two technologies offers our staff a highly detailed and accurate virtual model of a patient’s teeth. With this model in hand, our staff is then then able to virtually design restorations for the patient’s mouth.

Using this technology we can even design a prosthetic, such as a crown, on the first appointment! Additionally, we can place implants, rotate them for optimal placement, and assess measurements that are involved with that process. When placing multiple implants, correlating measurements and distances between each implant may be observed as well.

What does all of this mean to you as the patient? It means efficient and effective care. You don’t have to make multiple trips to our office and on top of that the care you receive is effective and best in class with clear long term benefits.

You can see why we are so thrilled about this technology and how it allows for a much more streamlined workflow and efficiency.
